SOBO Schedule

This is my schedule for major legs of the trail:
  • July 2, Mt. Katahdin ME (0 km - 1,300m climb to the start)
    • stopping in Monson ME after the 100 Mile Wilderness on July 11
  • July 18, Stratton ME (311 km)
  • July 29, Gorham NH (522 km)
  • Aug 8, Glencliff NH (650 km - slooowwwly through the white mountains)
  • Aug 30, Kent CT (1,171 km)
  • Sep 11, Delaware Water Gap PA (1,450 km)
  • Sep 28, Harpers Ferry WV (1,884 km - no turning back!)
  • Oct 10, Waynesboro VA (2,145 km - if these were miles, I'd be just about done)
  • Nov 1, Damascus VA (2,775 km)
  • Nov 20, Fontana NC (3,266 km)
  • Nov 28, Georgia Border (3,405 km)
  • Dec 1, Springer Mountain GA (3,531 km)

To make that schedule, I'll have to average around 23.5km per day (14.5 miles). That's based on walk times for people going from Springer Mountain to Mt Katahdin (northbounders) in 5 months. It may have to change since my days will be getting shorter, not longer. I may not be able to keep that pace up when I only have 10 hours of daylight to work with.

  1. Hi Serjey. Just testing this out to see if we are all good to go on the harassment. Please delete because this is a rubbish first post. Hope you are doing OK, BTW. It is cold here. And the election is tomorrow. It looks close. If Labour gets in (hard to believe) that'll be 6 PMs in less than 4 years. Australians like high scores. Doesn't matter for what.
